Educational Highlights

At Lords & Ladies, we pride ourselves on keeping up with the constantly changing beauty industry. We have a nine member educational team, consisting of two stylists from each salon and headed by our Director of Education, Cookie Ganter. Recently, they attended two elite educational events that have allowed us to bring new techniques and the latest styles to our clients.

Four members of our team traveled to New York for the Fashion Forecast. This event was held at Tony and Guy Educational Academy. Every year, Tony and Guy come out with new color and cut trend collections. This year the collections are: The Instinctive Collection of Cuts and The Dawn of Color. These new techniques add dimension and movement to the hair by using color and cut in conjunction with each other.

In June, six of our stylists were invited to London to be mentored by Trevor Sorbie and Mahoganny - two of the top international stylists of our time! Only 27 stylists in the country were invited to attend and six of them were from our salons! In these classes, our stylists received an inside peek into what is up and coming in the industry. Here again, they learned the newest in cut and color trends. Upon returning to the states, they conducted classes for their fellow Lords & Ladies’ stylists as part of our continuing education program.

Extraordinary opportunities such as these two company sponsored trips is why Lords and Ladies attracts and keeps our local best of the best in this industry!

Lords and Ladies Reaches Out!

We are out and about in our communities! Lords and Ladies stylists are volunteering their time to speak to students at the vo-tech schools. We teach them a few color styling techniques and lead an open forum to discuss any questions they may have regarding their future as stylists themselves!

We are on the lookout for events and venues, such as women’s clubs, business meetings, etc., where our team’s expertise can be utilized. We can tailor our presentation to fit your needs. If you or anyone you know has any interest, please contact Cookie Ganter at 610-385-7114.

A Fashion Show With A Purpose

The Educational Team, along with several of our stylists, participated in a Fashion Show sponsored by The Shops at Wyomissing. They showcased their talents as hair models, exhibiting the latest in cuts and color and styled hair and applied makeup for the clothing models. In addition to enjoying a great evening of fun and fashion, the cost of the meals for the over 415 (sold out!) attendees was donated to The United Way.

A Fifth Salon is on the Way!

Another salon will be joining the Lords and Ladies Corporation! We will be breaking ground for our Perkiomenville Salon early in the Spring of 2009. Located on the corner of Faglesville Road and Big Road (Rte. 73) in Upper Frederick Township, this salon is especially exciting because its location not only expands our possibilities to meet and serve new clients, it provides an additional venue, particularly for the convenience our Gilbertsville clients! We, at Lords and Ladies, are thrilled about this newest addition and hope you are, too! We’ll keep you posted!
