You would think something as simple as a dry shampoo spray would not need any directions. However, there is a distinct possibility that you have been using it incorrectly without even realizing it. Think about how you use it. Do you blast your roots with it and then mess with your hair to ensure it's in the right place? If you do, the bad news is that you are defeating the purpose.

Dry shampoo actually requires some time to work its magic. Its job is to send that dry powder in to soak up oils, sweat, and odors. But, if you mess with your hair immediately after adding the dry shampoo, you aren't giving the powder the necessary time to absorb what you've put it there to do.

Here's a suggestion: if you know you won't be able to wash your hair in the morning, consider adding dry shampoo before you hit the hay.
