Understanding Balayage Services
Balayage may seem like a new technique but it was actually created by French colorists in the 70s. The concept requires experienced stylists to use a freehand technique to paint color into your hair. Unlike traditional highlights no foil or caps are used.
Balayage is considered a low maintenance highlight option because it is designed to look natural in your hair. Your stylist will place color where it will most resemble a sun-kissed look and will not color the entire strand. This prevents the typical grow out lines that require frequent touchups.
Balayage works on all hair lengths and colors but it is recommended that you go in with your natural hair if you want the best results. Of course, those with treated hair can still benefit from balayage but we suggest you schedule a consultation with a Lords & Ladies hair expert to ensure that you make the transition in the most hair healthy way.
Time to Choose Your Stylist
Balayage requires a professional to look right. That might mean it is time for you to pick a new stylist. When it is time for you to choose your stylist, we suggest that you do an interview.
Since you have opted for Lords & Ladies as your salon take advantage of our consultation opportunities to get to know the stylists at the Sinking Spring Salon. This will help you determine their background experience with balayage and an array of other salon services.
You can ask our stylists about the kinds of haircuts that work best with your facial structure and hair texture. You will want something that showcases your best features and suits your hair type.
Even if you decide to keep your current style, knowing the answers to these types of questions will help you feel comfortable with our stylists and the way they think. Plus, you will be able to determine which stylist has the most experience with your personal hair type.
Don't be afraid to schedule consultations with more than one of our stylists. We want you to find the best fit for you. After all, it is your hair and the goal for you is to find a stylist who is friendly, listens carefully, and understands how to work with your hair. We want you to leave our salons feeling confident in the abilities of the stylist you choose.
