Pre-Care Reminders

Brow Lamination Sinking Spring, PABefore you get the treatment, make sure you’re a good candidate for it. Brow lamination isn’t suitable for those with very sensitive skin, psoriasis, eczema, and allergies. It’s also not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have recently undergone eye surgery, or have sunburn around the area.

  • Discontinue anti-aging treatments like retinol and chemical exfoliants with alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) and beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) at least 72 hours before your session. They can react with the solution, leading to skin irritation.
  • Steer clear of getting permanent makeup or microblading at least 4 weeks before your appointment to ensure it doesn’t interfere with the healing process.
  • Avoid using self-tanning products on the treatment area for at least 48 hours—especially if you get eyebrow tint as it can cause discoloration.

It’s also a good idea to get a patch test before getting the treatment to eliminate the risk of irritation.

Aftercare Guidelines

Want to keep the laminated look for as long as possible? Follow these instructions:

  • Keep your brows dry for the first 24 hours. That means no bathing, swimming, or high-intensity exercise.
  • Don’t apply skincare like anti-aging and exfoliating products for 72 hours post-procedure. Also, avoid makeup for 24 hours.
  • Avoid direct, prolonged exposure to heat. Stay away from tanning beds, showers, and saunas for the first 48 hours. You should also avoid self-tanning products as they can cause the brow lamination to break down or fade.
  • Don’t get eye treatments like waxing or plucking for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Keep your hands off your brows and avoid eye masks for the first 48 hours. They can transfer oils to your brow area and break down the chemicals in the solution.

Finally, apply a nourishing oil or serum to your brows every day to protect your brows.
