But there are some important things you should keep in mind to ensure that your aftercare methods prolong the life of your perm:

Don't get it wet. You should keep your new hairdo dry for at least three days after our treatment.
Wait a week. Don't try any of your own styling techniques or products for the first week.
Don't brush. If you want the perm to set the way our stylists intended, keep the brush away. Use your fingers or a very wide-toothed comb if you must.
Wrap it. Get a silk scarf and wrap your hair each night before bed.
