Things to Do When You're Ready to Visit a Spa

If you have never been to a spa before you might not know what to expect. So, we have compiled a list of things you should do when you're ready to visit a spa:

  1. Spas in Wyomissing, PADo your research. Understand that no two spas are exactly alike. If you know what treatments and services you are looking for, be sure that the spa you choose offers those amenities at a price you can afford.
  2. Choose your service provider. If you have a preference as to who will perform your services, let the spa know when you book your appointment. When you request either a male or a female prior to arrival, you can be assured that your preference will be provided. Waiting until you show up for your appointment to make that request might be too late.
  3. Take it easy on the caffeine. Many people go to spas for the purpose of getting a relaxing massage. If that's your plan, keep in mind that it will be incredibly hard to fully enjoy that relaxation if you are all hyped up on caffeine. And, don't eat a heavy meal prior to your appointment either.
  4. Leave your skin and nails alone. Though it might be tempting to poke and prod at various skin and nail imperfections, you will notice better results from your salon services if you leave that to the experts.
  5. Don't shave. We know that might be hard for some of you, but when you are getting an exfoliation treatment, we suggest that you refrain from shaving for at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. We need your skin to be nick and irritation free. Razor burn right before a treatment is never a good thing!
  6. Show up early. Give yourself 15-30 minutes of flex time when you show up for your appointment. This will allow you to get accustomed to the spa's environment and see how they deal with their other customers and clients. Plus, you might discover there are some free amenities for you to enjoy prior to your treatment or service.
  7. Tip well. The best rule of thumb for tipping at a salon is to use the same tip amount you would at a restaurant, 18-20% of the full price. Leaving a good tip for your service providers ensures they are happy to see you when you come back! And bring cash to do that.

When you decide to find spas in Wyomissing, PA, we hope that you will give Lords & Ladies Salon and Medical Spa the first try at earning your continued business. Give us a call at 844.725.6655 to ask questions or schedule an appointment. You can also contact us online.
